ABOUT ME

I have spent the better part of my life helping couples and individuals overcome the obstacles that keep them from realizing their full potential. Life is too short to remain unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. I will listen to you, learn about your needs, and help you discover better ways of handling the issues that stand in the way of your goals. The human spirit has a remarkable ability to adapt and overcome. Sometimes we just need a little help. That’s why I’m here.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent twenty years in full-time ministry and offered pastoral counseling to hundreds of individuals and dozens of couples. Don't let this fact scare you off. My approach is accepting and nonjudgmental. At your request, I am happy to integrate faith into the therapeutic process, but I am also comfortable with a strictly psychological approach.

My approach is relational and researched-based. Our sessions will be tailored to your specific situation and goals. I utilize elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Reality Therapy, Gottman, and other therapeutic philosophies.

I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPC-C) under the supervision of Jennifer Cox EdD LPC at Allied Counseling Associates in Edmond, Oklahoma. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts Degree in Ministry from Oklahoma Christian University, as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from

Southern Nazarene University.
